My friend ordered the medium barbacoa wet burrito and could only eat half as well. If you ask at the counter when ordering, they have green and red hot salsa you can take to the table or it's 50¢ for togo orders.

From the ease of entry from the street, ample parking, and clean exterior this place welcomes you in. Seeing the board inside with meal gifts for hungry people. Food and drink amazing (i got Jamaica Agua Fresca and Floutas platter, partner got tamales) fast, fresh, delicious! This place is a hidden gem in Niles!

This is an excellent spot for authentic Mexican cuisine. Both times I’ve visited, I ordered the tacos on corn tortillas, and they were absolutely delicious. On my first visit, the owner was kind enough to provide complimentary chips and salsa, which made the experience even better. The food is fresh, flavorful, and the hospitality is outstanding. I’ll definitely be coming back each time I’m in tho area.

Tried this place for the first time today, just driving by on my lunch break at work, thought I'd stop in. I'm a sucker for elote, absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE it. When I tell you this elote is top tier, probably the BEST elote I've ever had....mmmm chef's kiss!! 🤌🏻😮‍💨🫠 Did I mention I LOVE elote? 😅🤣I also got a steak burrito with my order. The steak was tender and flavorful. I'm used to a little overcooked, a little crispy, almost stale steak whenever I order steak burritos from other establishments. Not at Taqueria Don Chepe! That steak was straight banging! The burrito as a whole was phenomenal. It was loaded, too. The pricing is VERY reasonable for an authentic Mexican restaurant. And the staff? ALL very wonderful ladies! Very friendly, kind, and the service was QUICK. Now, I don't mind waiting on good food, but they were prompt. I had my meal in hand in, I won't be scared to say, about 7 minutes. It was hot and fresh! And it came with a smile! 😁 Anyway, overall, 10/10 on EVERYTHING! Wonderful food made my wonderful people! One last thing I want to point out, they have a "pay it forward" menu. It's a board with items that have been paid for by previous patrons for someone who might need a little help feeding themselves that day. I absolutely LOVE that most of all about this place. HIGHLY recommend this establishment!
